Took some mags down to the BMAD social gathering the other night & got pounced on by Nicky from Future Bikers. 2Dave, you know you enjoyed the Xmas Toy run we did?” “ Erm, yes,” I replied as I could smell a rat. “Well, how do you fancy joining in with our Easter Egg run?” “ Sounds great to me.” It’s always for a good cause. “ Er, dressed as a chicken?” she enquired. Bollox was the first word that popped into my head.

So there was I dressed in a bright yellow chicken suit on a bright red Ducati. Should blend in nicely, I thought.

If you think you’ve got problems, I recommend you visit some of the children’s homes, hospitals & residential care homes we visited. It puts your woes into perspective.

The kids & clients were delighted to see 5 chicks & a wabbit, all on bikes, turn up & dish out chocolate from a trailer disguised as a nest with a bloody great egg on top. The trailer was stuffed with eggs when we left & filled again when we stopped at the Lime Tree for a buffet & drink, (much appreciated & thanks to Terry & all concerned).

Well done to Nicky & Don from Future Bikers & all the team, especially the marshals who did a great job in shit conditions. Thank you.

Note to self: empty bladder before putting on chicken suit. Doh!!
